Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
Fiamma is a cooking companion designed to help you discover recipes, plan meals, cook with what you have, organize your kitchen, and build confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fiamma collects, how we use it, when it may be processed by service providers, and the choices you have regarding your information.
Fiamma is currently operated by Courtney Miller in New Mexico, United States (“Fiamma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your information, you can contact us at hello@cookwithfiamma.com.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Fiamma.
Account Information
When you create a Fiamma account, we collect information such as:
- your name;
- your email address; and
- information necessary to authenticate and maintain your account.
Passwords are handled by our authentication provider. Fiamma does not store your password in its application database or have access to your password in readable form.
Beta Application Information
If you apply to participate in the Fiamma beta, we may collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the type of phone you use, such as iPhone, Android, or other;
- your response to “What would you most love Fiamma to help you with in the kitchen?”;
- whether you are willing to share feedback; and
- whether you choose to receive Fiamma product updates and launch announcements.
Cooking Preferences and Profile Information
To personalize your experience, you may provide information such as:
- dietary styles or preferences;
- food allergies and intolerances;
- foods or ingredients you dislike;
- other information you choose to enter in open-ended preference fields; and
- your kitchen inventory.
Some of this information, particularly information concerning allergies or dietary needs, may reveal information related to your health. We use this information to personalize cooking suggestions and help Fiamma take the preferences and restrictions you provide into account.
You control what information you choose to provide.
Content You Create in Fiamma
When you use Fiamma, we may store information you create or save through the Service, including:
- conversations and chat messages;
- saved recipes;
- recipe notes and edits;
- serving-size selections;
- kitchen inventory;
- grocery lists;
- cooking-session information;
- photos you choose to upload;
- feedback you provide; and
- other information you intentionally submit to Fiamma.
Voice Input
If you choose to use Fiamma's microphone feature, Fiamma temporarily processes the audio you record in order to convert it into text.
Audio is collected only when you choose to activate the microphone and record a message.
The audio is transmitted securely through Fiamma's server infrastructure and processed using an AI transcription service. The resulting text may then be used as your chat input.
Device and Technical Information
When you use Fiamma, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically receive technical information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type and User-Agent information;
- device and operating-system information;
- authentication and session information;
- request and network information; and
- timestamps associated with your activity.
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Fiamma.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information collected through Fiamma to:
- create and maintain your account;
- provide the Fiamma Service;
- personalize recipes and cooking suggestions;
- account for dietary preferences, allergies, dislikes, and other preferences you provide;
- provide recipe customization and meal-planning features;
- use your inventory when you intentionally select “Use What I Have” mode;
- save recipes, notes, grocery lists, inventory, and other information you ask Fiamma to remember;
- provide Cook Mode and related cooking features;
- transcribe voice input when you choose to use the microphone;
- administer the Fiamma beta;
- respond to feedback and support requests;
- understand which Fiamma features are being used;
- improve Fiamma's functionality and user experience;
- prevent abuse and maintain the security of the Service;
- communicate important account or service information; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. AI-Powered Features
Some Fiamma features use artificial intelligence to generate, organize, or process cooking-related content.
Fiamma currently routes AI requests through the Lovable AI Gateway, which connects Fiamma with underlying AI model providers.
Depending on the feature you use, information sent for AI processing may include:
- your chat messages and recent conversation context;
- dietary preferences, allergies, and food dislikes;
- information you enter into your cooking-preference profile;
- kitchen inventory when you specifically use “Use What I Have” mode;
- recipes, ingredients, instructions, serving quantities, and recipe notes;
- grocery-item names; and
- audio recordings when you intentionally use voice transcription.
Fiamma currently uses AI models provided by Google for cooking assistance, recipe-related functionality, classification, and certain image-generation features, and an OpenAI model for voice transcription.
Not every feature sends all of this information. Fiamma sends information relevant to the particular feature being used. For example, your kitchen inventory is included in conversational AI requests when you select “Use What I Have” mode and is not included for ordinary “Inspire Me” conversations.
AI requests are routed through Fiamma's server infrastructure rather than being sent directly from your browser to an AI provider.
Fiamma also uses AI to generate some editorial Inspiration recipes and images. Those editorial-generation processes do not require personal user information.
4. Product Analytics
Fiamma collects limited first-party usage information to understand how the product is being used and improve the beta.
For example, we may record events indicating that a recipe was saved or Cook Mode was started.
These analytics are stored within Fiamma's own backend infrastructure.
Fiamma currently does not use third-party behavioral analytics, session-recording tools, or advertising trackers such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Mixpanel, PostHog, or Hotjar.
5. Cookies and Local Device Storage
Fiamma uses limited browser storage technologies to operate the Service and remember your preferences.
These include:
- a functional cookie used to remember the state of the desktop navigation;
- local browser storage used to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as text size, cookbook sorting, recipe mode, installation prompts, and Cook Mode progress;
- temporary session storage used to maintain navigation and active cooking workflows; and
- local browser database storage that allows certain recipe, grocery, and inventory information to remain available when you are offline and helps synchronize changes when connectivity returns.
These technologies are used for Fiamma's functionality, authentication, preferences, offline capabilities, and first-party product operation.
Fiamma does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral-tracking cookies.
6. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate Fiamma. These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.
Current providers include:
Lovable / Lovable Cloud
Provides application infrastructure and AI gateway services used by Fiamma.
Supabase
Provides managed backend infrastructure used for authentication, database services, and file storage.
Cloudflare
Provides hosting and edge-computing infrastructure. Cloudflare may process standard network and web-request information, including IP addresses and browser information.
Google
Provides AI models used for conversational cooking assistance, recipe processing, classification, and certain generated imagery. Google Fonts also provides Fiamma's web fonts and may receive standard technical information such as IP address and browser User-Agent when those fonts are loaded.
OpenAI
Provides the AI model used to transcribe voice recordings when you intentionally use Fiamma's voice-input feature.
Lovable's transactional email infrastructure
Processes information such as your name and email address when sending Fiamma-related transactional emails.
These companies process information according to their respective agreements, privacy practices, and applicable law.
7. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that help us operate Fiamma;
- when you direct us to or consent to a disclosure;
- when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of Fiamma, our users, or others;
- when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; or
- in connection with a future merger, acquisition, financing, sale, restructuring, or transfer of some or all of the Fiamma business, subject to applicable law.
8. Email Communications
We may send you emails necessary to administer your Fiamma account or beta participation, such as account-access messages, beta approval information, security notices, or important service communications.
If you separately choose to receive Fiamma updates and launch announcements, we may also send you occasional promotional or product communications.
Choosing not to receive promotional communications will not prevent you from receiving essential account, security, or service-related messages.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe method provided in those messages.
9. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Fiamma, maintain your account, administer the beta, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and meet legitimate security or legal requirements.
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.
You may permanently delete your Fiamma account through the account settings in the Service. When you delete your account, information associated with your account—including your profile and cooking preferences, saved recipes and notes, photos, chats, grocery list, inventory, cooking data, feedback, and account-linked usage history—is deleted.
Your original beta application may be retained as a historical application record after account deletion, but personal and device-identifying information associated with the application is removed or anonymized so that the retained application is no longer linked to you. Non-identifying information, such as application responses, application status, and relevant dates, may be retained for internal beta administration and analysis.
Certain shared or published content may remain when necessary to preserve functionality for other users. For example, shared custom ingredients or published Inspiration content may remain after account deletion, but will no longer be associated with your deleted account or identity.
We may also retain limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or protect the security of Fiamma and its users.
Some information stored locally on your device may remain until browser or application storage is cleared.
If you have questions about account deletion or the information we retain, contact hello@cookwithfiamma.com.
10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information.
You may also:

- choose whether to provide optional profile or inventory information;
- choose whether to use voice input;
- choose whether to receive promotional Fiamma communications; and
- request deletion of your Fiamma account and associated personal information.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information.
Fiamma's authentication infrastructure uses secure password handling, encrypted network connections, and access controls. Database access is protected using authentication and row-level security controls intended to prevent users from accessing other users' private information.
However, no internet service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
12. Children's Privacy
Fiamma is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information through Fiamma, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Fiamma, please contact hello@cookwithfiamma.com.
Users who are under the age of majority where they live should use Fiamma with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
13. International Users
Fiamma is currently operated from the United States.
If you access Fiamma from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
As Fiamma expands into additional jurisdictions, we may update this Policy and our privacy practices to address applicable requirements.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Fiamma is evolving, particularly during the beta period, and our privacy practices may change as features are added or modified.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through Fiamma, by email, or through another appropriate method.
The effective date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently updated.
